Contact the Parish Council

Anthea Barker is the Clerk and Proper Officer to the Council. As such she is required to give guidance to the council, before decisions are made.

The Clerk advises the Council on procedural, legal and ethical matters, and is the liaison between the Council and other bodies, such as the District and County Council. On matters of law, the Clerk gives advice, making necessary enquiries, as appropriate. The Clerk also carries out all administration tasks on behalf of the Council.

The Clerk is also the Responsible Financial Officer (“RFO”). An RFO must be appointed by each local council, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972 (Section 151). The RFO is responsible for compliance with Accounting and Auditing Regulations, and for delivery of all financial accounts and processes.
